Common Questions

Do you accept health insurance?

1

Bloomwell Care is currently a cash-pay only practice. I'm in the process of credentialing with insurance panels and hope to accept insurance in the future — I'll update this page as that changes. If you have out-of-network benefits, I'm happy to provide a superbill so you can seek reimbursement directly through your insurance company.

Can you prescribe medication?

2

No. As a licensed therapist, I'm not able to prescribe medication. That said, if medication feels like it might be part of your care, I'm happy to coordinate with a provider who can help. That would just require a signed release of information from you.

Can we meet in-person?

3

At this time, I am currently only offering telehealth sessions but plan to eventually offer in-office therapy sessions in the future.

What does the first session look like?

4

The first session is a gentle starting point. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you're hoping for, and what feels most important right now. I'll make sure the pace feels supportive and not overwhelming.

How often do clients typically meet with you?

5

I prefer to meet with new clients on a weekly occurrence to gain momentum and build trust and rapport. Then, we can adjust as symptoms and needs shift.

How does self-pay work?

6

Self-pay simply means you pay for sessions directly rather than through insurance. After we schedule, I'll share payment options and any paperwork you need. Payment is due at the time of session. If you have questions about fees or which session length is the right fit, I'm happy to talk it through.
